This picture was taken at Fall Creek Falls near Swan Valley, Idaho in early October.

As far as editing is concerned, I turned down the highlights, turned up the shadows, boosted the saturation and vibrance, increased the clarity and used the smart sharpening filter. I also cropped the picture a bit and used the selective color adjustment layer to take the color out of the whites to make them the water pop. The biggest difference is probably the sky. I used the sky from a different picture taken on a different day and masked out the rest of that picture using Photoshop.

I was very happy with my final print. Things usually print darker and more blurry than they appear on a computer screen. Due to my increased clarity, smart sharpening, and increase of shadows, this was not the case for me and mine ended up looking fabulous.

I created the mock up below as a way to show what my work would look like in a frame on a wall. To do this I used a stock photo and a little Photoshop magic. Thank heavens for drop shadows.
