Have you been thinking you need to print some of those photos from your last family vacation? Do you want to see all of your baby’s photos in one place? Would you like to put together a family memoir but haven’t found the time? Let me help you! I live and breathe curated family photo books and am hungry to help more families preserve their memories so that they can be enjoyed for years to come!

I have found that a lot of my own memories are remembered simply because I have a picture associated with them. Photography facilitates memories so why not send more memories to long-term by printing photo books!

A Love Hate Relationship

As a designer, here are a few reasons photo books are so rewarding. First, I sift through 100’s, sometimes 1000’s of photos to make these books happen. It is a lot of work, long hours, late nights, and occasional tears to put these photos together. My goal is to organize them in a way that is both thoughtful and aesthetic. Sometimes I feel like I am battling with multiple computer programs at once with no end in sight.

Seeing my photo books printed, however, is an indescribable thrill. It keeps me coming back for more. The looks on people’s faces, the laughs as they are reminded of a funny experience, and the tears as they recall a heartwarming one. There is something so rewarding for me about using my design skills to strengthen families, to make core memories last forever, to remember a loved one who has passed on, and to shape a family culture.

Curated Family Photo Books I Have Created:

1. A collection of photo’s from when my family lived in the Marshall Islands from 2005-2008. The majority of the photos in this book were taken by my dad so it was fun to work with him and my mom to put this together in an organized and meaningful way.

2. This book was created to showcase all of my siblings and I as babies in the same book. I included pictures of my mom during all five of her pregnancies (bless her), the dates of birth, the weight and length of each baby at birth, the doctor who delivered each of us, etc. It was fun to see similar facial features in each of our baby pictures.

3. Here is a screenshot of the cover (back cover on the left, front cover on the right) of one I am currently working on. This will be a the first in a series of curated family photo books from vacations my family took when I was a teenager. This particular book has been a long time coming. My family and I are excited to see how this one will shake out.

4. This last photo book was created to be a portfolio of my best photography (up to the year 2017 when the book was published). Included in this book were a collection of landscapes, portraits, candids, macros, etc.

Everyone hates a menu without prices so here you go!

Pricing:

  • Curated Family Photo Books need to be a minimum of 20 pages (this is the printing company‘s minimum).
  • My rate is $15/page. (i.e. A 20 page photo book would be $300.)
  • If you are needing editing for the photos, this price will increase. That price will depend on the number of photos and what kind of editing you are looking for (i.e. basic edits or more detailed and complex edits).
